Individual Therapy for School Challenges
Services for children and adolescents ages 11-19 in Washington state
Is your child struggling at school, finding it hard to focus, or avoiding school altogether?
You might be noticing a drop in their academic performance, or perhaps emotional outbursts or anxiety are affecting their ability to succeed. These challenges can be overwhelming for both you and your child, and as a parent, it’s natural to wonder how to help them get back on track.
As a child and teen therapist, I understand how school-related stress can impact a child's emotional well-being. Whether it’s the pressure of schoolwork, bullying, social struggles, or difficulty with learning differences, these challenges can cause a range of emotional and behavioral issues. If your child is feeling isolated, anxious, or simply overwhelmed, therapy can offer them a safe space to process these feelings and gain the tools they need to succeed.
Through personalized therapy sessions, I help children develop healthier coping strategies, build self-confidence, and improve their emotional resilience. Whether your child is dealing with school avoidance, stress, or a specific learning challenge, we work together to create a tailored plan to help them feel empowered and ready to face school with a renewed sense of hope.
I can also provide care coordination services with your child’s education team (school administrators, education specialist, speech pathologist, occupational therapist, school psychologist, school counselor, and/or school social worker).
If you're concerned about how school challenges are affecting your child, don't hesitate to reach out. Therapy can be a powerful tool in helping your child overcome obstacles and rediscover a love for learning.
